It seems that James had a sister Grace who married John LEAN, miner,
on 21 Jun 1794 in Camborne. John LEAN was a witness to the marriage
of James CRASE and Hannah BENNETTS (30 Jun 1794, Camborne), and James
CRASE (or his and Grace's father) was a witness to the marriage of
John LEAN and Grace CRASE nine days before. This, together with intergenerational
naming patterns (especially with regard to the continuation of the
names James and George), suggest that James CRASE's parents were the
same as those of Grace CRASE. Research into this line is ongoing.
