   Research Notes:

A few possibilities exist as to the parents of Ann RICHARDS, in order of likelihood:

1) Youngest daughter and child of Thomas RICHARDS and Mary HARRIS, who had a daughter Ann, christened 22 Mar 1778, Camborne, Cornwall.
2) Second youngest daughter/child of Thomas Richards and Elizabeth ARTHUR, who had a daughter Ann, christened 18 Apr 1778, Camborne, Cornwall.
3) John RICHARDS and Ann BENNATTS/BENNETT, who had a daughter Ann, christened 4 May 1777, Camborne, Cornwall.

Even though the third is the closest in terms of the approximate birth date derived from the 1851 Census, Francis and Ann had a son Thomas Richards VIVIAN (d.y.) which, according to naming patterns, suggests that he was named after Ann's father - Thomas RICHARDS, just as Francis and Ann's eldest son, Francis VIVIAN, was probably named after his grandfather (or father). If the naming pattern continues, then Francis and Ann's third child, Mary VIVIAN, may have been named after Ann's mother. (There are many examples of this kind of naming pattern; e.g.: Gilbert Richards LEAN). 21

In the Camborne Parish Register (for marriages) one of the witnesses is William RICHARDS (see below). If Anne was the daughter of Thomas RICHARDS and Mary HARRIS, then this William would be an elder brother (christened 27 Aug 1769 in Camborne). If Anne was the daughter of Thomas RICHARDS and Elizabeth ARTHUR, then this William would again be an elder brother (christened 2 Feb 1766 in Camborne). However, whilst the reconstruction of Ann RICHARD's ancestry is tentative, I have for the present opted for Thomas RICHARS and Mary HARRIS as her parents.

   Marriage Information:

Ann married Francis VIVIAN of Camborne, son of Francis VIVIAN and Jane ROSKROW, on 7 Aug 1800 in Camborne, Cornwall 18,83,148. (Francis VIVIAN of Camborne was born in 1782 in Camborne, Cornwall 83, christened on 1 Sep 1782 in Camborne, Cornwall 83 and died before 1851.)

Marriage Notes:

Witnesses to the marriage of Francis VIVIAN and Ann(e) RICHARDS were William RICHARDS (probably a brother of Anne) and Henry VIVIAN (relationship to groom uncertain).
